Green cleaning - environmental responsibility and effective cleaning programs are compatible goals...
Image via Wikipedia
With the emphasis on climate change in all facets of life these days, private, business and leisure, the commercial world also has to constantly review their practices and policies to ensure they operate in an environmentally green manner. For those involved in the commercial cleaning industry, environmental responsibility and a proper and effective cleaning program will become compatible goals now and in the future. Therefore the use of strong and powerful disinfectant chemicals and equipment used to reduce the spread of health endangering infections have to be used with due care and attention. Gone are the old cowboy days when all waste products just went down the drains or sewers.
It is also extremely important that cleaners protect themselves by wearing the correct protective clothing, gloves and breathing equipment wherever necessary. It is also the responsibility of their employers, managers and supervisors that they are provided with and actually use this equipment; their lives could depend on it!
The US Environmental Protection Agency recognises responsible companies with their "Champion Award" in identifying environmental leaders who voluntarity commit themselves to the use of safer surfactants that break down quickly into non-polluting compounds.
Let us read about a company that advertises itself as being committed to Environmental Sustainability, and an Environmentally Conscious cleaning approach. I wouldn't have a problem stating that they are a trustworthy and creditable organisation in the American cleaning market. Go Green Cleaning!

Hi Peter,
I wonder whether companies that have been recognized as environmentally responsible are 100% innocent of any violation to nature? Just a thought
