Cottonsoft supports rainforest destruction...




Greenpeace claims:

: Only 400 or so Sumatran tigers are left in the wild... A well-known toilet-tissue brand is being accused of sourcing its paper from Indonesian rainforests, the home of critically-endangered Sumatran tigers. Greenpeace, the Green Party, and WWF New Zealand have spent eight months investigating Cottonsoft, and sent samples to a US laboratory for testing. Greenpeace spokesman Nathan Argent says traces of mixed tropical hardwoods were found. "Cottonsoft is owned by one the world's most notorious rainforest destroyers, Asia Pulp and Paper, and over the years Greenpeace has repeatedly shown that Asia Pulp & Paper's suppliers are trashing tiger habitats to feed its paper mills." Cottonsoft has refused to divulge where it sources its paper. Greenpeace says companies such as Kraft, Nestle, Unilever, Tesco and Carrefour have stopped working with Asia Pulp & Paper because of its actions. "We're asking customers to tell retailers to stop selling toilet paper that has come from trashed rainforests," says Mr Argent . One in four rolls of toilet paper sold in New Zealand are made of paper sourced from Indonesia. There are only about 400 Sumatran tigers left in the wild. Follow 3 News on Facebook Ecospree

The tidal power conversion system, bioSTREAM™, is based on the highly efficient propulsion of Thunniform mode swimming species, such as shark, tuna, and mackerel.

The evolution of human civilization, with the three revolutions, has given the humankind a power that far exceeded its expectation. What we are seeing now is the humankind putting itself under a fatal threat by the act of its own. The threat is the kind that the humankind has never experienced before, in scale and in magnitude

So you are young, lean, mean and green? Good on you. But are you prepared to put your money where your mouth is? Are you prepared to do things personally, at home, at school, at work or at play. Use better lights ie compact fluorescent bulbs. But use these with care too, because they contain mercury.Recycle. Use solar power where possible. Be carbon neutral, go on green holidays. Reuse water bottles by refilling at the tap. Buy or sell products in bulk, and save onshipping costs.





Maybe you want to go green, recycle, ride share, carpool, vanpool, plant a tree, start green shopping, have green pets, experience green travel, curb urban sprawl, ease up on fossil fuels, save forests, remove polluting cars from the road and experience green living without giving up conveniences?





Well, if you can switch from drinking bottled water to drinking water that you put in a bottle we all just might have a chance of decreasing the impacts of global warming because we all need to be Lean, Mean and Green.
